Expanding Railway Passenger services. 21-04-2024.
Good Morning,
Been thinking there is maybe a way to expand services, using existing Rolling Stock and Infrastructure.
Perhaps a Service from Newcastle to Wauchope.
Call it the SHORT XPT Service and use different Rolling stock, if required.
Maybe a service could be started at 8.15 am from Newcastle, to arrive in Wauchope at 12.15 pm.
The return trip could leave Wauchope at 2.30 pm, arriving in Newcastle at 6.30 pm.
This would be a good service for people wanting to attend Medical Appointment's, have a One night, or two night's stay at a Motel. An even better chance to attend appointment's
Maybe a Day out shopping at the Kotara shopping Centre, allsort's of things could be achieved I believe.
What do other people think?
So could a Short XPT Service survive.
In my Opinion the J Class Railcars would be Ideal, and the service could be 3 days a Week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
